Chucksi (chucksi.com) is a free, open-source set of creative tools. The short version: most tools run entirely in your browser, we keep as little as we can, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising. The code that does all of this is public on GitHub.
What stays on your device
Many tools (image cutouts, upscaling, editing, video cutting and more) run on your own device. The files you open in them are not uploaded to us. Some settings and your sign-in session are saved in your browser's local storage, and you can clear them at any time.
Account information
You can use most of Chucksi without an account. If you create one, with email or by signing in with Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, X or Facebook, we receive your email address, and from those services your name and profile picture. We use this only to sign you in and keep your projects tied to you. We never get your password for those services, we never post on your behalf, and we do not ask for access to your files, contacts, friends or repositories.
Projects you save
When you save a project to the cloud, its files and settings are stored in our database and private storage so you can open them again. Only your account can read them. You can ask us at any time to delete a project or your whole account and everything in it.
Server-run AI tools
Some features send the text, audio or images you provide to a server to process. Chucksi does not train models on your inputs. The providers that process them have their own retention and data-use terms; free AI providers may log inputs and outputs. Avoid sending confidential information. In detail:
- Creating images (Image, design workflows, website, slide and game art): your description is sent to Cloudflare. If you pick the Backup style, or when the free images are busy or used up, some tools send it to Pollinations instead. If you connect your own image workflow, it goes only to the address you enter.
- Edit with words (Image and the Image workroom): the pictures you add, shrunk to under 512 pixels, and your instruction are sent to Cloudflare, our AI provider, to make the edit. The edited picture comes back to your browser and is kept only if you save it.
- Best quality images, text to video, Animate, Motion, Lip sync, Upscale video and Write a song: your description and any image, clip or audio you add are sent to RunPod GPU servers.
- Fast text to video (members video): your description and any start frame are sent to OpenRouter and the video provider it uses.
- Website AI assistant: after you confirm the sharing notice and press Preview AI changes, your brief and selected editable page text are sent through OpenRouter to NVIDIA Nemotron. Images, uploads, account tokens and other project pages are not included. Chucksi's allowance counter stores a salted daily address hash and counts, not your brief or page text. The provider may log inputs and outputs; see OpenRouter's privacy policy and NVIDIA's privacy policy. You review changes before applying them.
- Voiceover in six languages: your script is sent to Cloudflare, in short parts. English voices are made on your device.
- Captions, transcripts and edit by text: only the sound of your file, downsampled to 16 kHz mono, is sent to Cloudflare, and only when you press Transcribe.
- Ask a PDF: the text of the PDF open in Edit (up to 12,000 characters) and your question are sent to Cloudflare. The file itself is not uploaded.
- Launch film scripts: your brief is sent to Cloudflare when “Write it with AI” is on.
- Full 3D objects: your image is sent only to the object service address you enter.
- Verify a signed PDF: only a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the file is sent.
Editing, converting and signing PDFs, background removal, upscaling and erasing in the Image workroom, camera moves and effects, sound beds, extracting and mastering audio, and manual slide, website and game editing run on your own device. Optional AI generation and cloud saving are exceptions described above.
Chucksi Sign
Documents sent with Chucksi Sign are encrypted in your browser before upload, and the key stays in the link, so we cannot read them. Encrypted envelopes are deleted automatically 30 days after sending if unsigned, and 90 days after completion.
Hosted websites
When you publish a site from the website builder, its files (pages, images, styles and sitemap) are uploaded and stored under your account so they can be served publicly at your v2web.site address. Anything you put on a published site is public. We keep the site's address, your account ID, file sizes and publish times, and count publishes per account and per hashed IP address to limit abuse. Unpublishing deletes the files right away. Visitors to hosted sites are served by Cloudflare like the rest of Chucksi; we add no tracking to hosted sites.
If you report a site, we store your report, a one-way hash of your IP address and, only if you give one, your contact email, to review the report and prevent abuse.
Explore posts
Posts you share to Explore are public. We store the image or video and its poster, the title, tags, tool and Remix link you chose, your account ID and the display name from your profile (never your email address), the time it was posted, and its like, remix and report counts. Likes are stored with your account ID so each account likes a post once; they are not shown publicly by name. When someone opens a Remix link we count it once per day using a one-way hash of their IP address. Deleting a post removes its media and likes right away. If you report a post, we store your report and a one-way hash of your IP address.
Abuse limits and security
To keep free tools free, we count daily use with a one-way hash of your IP address. These counters expire within about two days. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Standard request logs are kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
Service providers
Chucksi uses these providers. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle the data sent to them:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, Turnstile and some AI models
- Pollinations: the Backup image style (your description is sent to make the image)
- Supabase: accounts, saved projects and file storage
- RunPod: GPU servers for heavier video and audio jobs
- OpenRouter: members video and the optional website AI assistant
- NVIDIA: the Nemotron model used by the website AI assistant
- Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, X and Facebook: only if you choose to sign in with them
- GitHub and jsDelivr: delivery of the site's code and open models
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies.
Children
Chucksi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and everything stored with it, email chuckgptx@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, or tell us which service you signed in with. We delete your account, saved projects, published sites and files within 30 days and confirm by email. If you signed in with Google, GitHub, LinkedIn, X or Facebook, you can also remove Chucksi's access in that service's settings at any time.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Questions or deletion requests: chuckgptx@gmail.com.
